FLATMIND x Aperol
Thanks to the collaboration between Aperol and the 15th edition of Shanghai JZ Festival, FLATMIND was once again able to outdone itself.
The idea behind the project was to show the indissoluble bond between music, fun and the natural need for humans to be social. In other words: if you pair good Jazz music and an Aperol Spritz, fun is guaranteed!
To deliver this concept at its best we wanted something surreal and fun. We decided to create a stop motion animation video.

This technique is as old as film itself. Objects or puppets are moved and photographed frame by frame to simulate movement and it was often used before CGI to show a magic and extraordinary World.
In this case, it took over 90 paper characters assembled by the hands of all FLATMIND team, a dozen 3D printed, hand painted tiny bottles, a made-from-scratch paper cart and long hours in the studio with countless liters of coffee to achieve this spectacular piece.
Here some behind the scenes photos and videos.
